We are living in an age that sometimes require a large amount of work and time only to change passwords to your wordpress blogs(one example). But you'll probably want to do more, like change titles, url formats, activating plugins etc...
Web Bots can do things for you, from scraping content, uploading media or auto post content to your blogs with little effort and while this web applications does the job for you, you can do whatever you like (reading your paper and drinking your coffee).
